Ronald J. Thommarson, Partner

Mr. Thommarson obtained his J.D. from the University of Southern California Law School in 1994. He earned a B.A. with distinction in political science from Stanford University in 1990. He was admitted to practice in California in December 1994 and has practiced in Orange County continuously since admission. Mr. Thommarson's practice focuses on real estate and business litigation, financial institutions, and employment law.

Mr. Thommarson was a senior attorney at Miller & Clark, a real estate specialty firm, from 2003 to 2007. His practice focused on litigation representing the title insurance and mortgage lending and servicing industries. From 1997 to 2003, Mr. Thommarson practiced with the Business Trial and Labor & Employment departments of the Orange County office of the national law firm Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP. Mr. Thommarson's litigation experience includes real estate and general civil and business litigation, encompassing real property disputes, foreclosure and title litigation, lender liability, warehouse lending disputes, contract claims, collections, partnership disputes, professional liability, business torts, unfair competition, intellectual property licensing disputes, and class actions. His labor and employment experience spans a wide variety of employment litigation, including wrongful discharge, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage claims. He has also provided advice and counsel to employers and management concerning personnel policies, employee handbooks, employment agreements, regulatory compliance, wage and hour issues, exemption issues, family and medical leaves, disability leaves and accommodation, and dealing with regulatory and administrative agencies.

Mr. Thommarson is admitted to practice in all of the state courts of California, as well as the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal and the U.S. District Courts for the Central, Southern, Northern and Eastern Districts of California. He is a member of the Orange County Bar Association's Real Estate and Labor and Employment Law Sections, as well as the national and regional alumni associations of Stanford University and the University of Southern California.
